Thanksgiving Table Setting
It’s here! The big reveal of my Thanksgiving Table setting. I have been putting this together for a few days now and I am so excited to share it with you. I wanted to do something different than last years’s painted pumpkins (Which you can check out here in case you missed it or need some extra inspiration) So this year’s theme…. Natural Elements meets Gold Glammer.
I’m seriously obsessed with gold, sorry silver! And birch is my newest “Holiday” obsession. I think it feels fallish and wintery without being too Christmasy. Does that make any sense? Let me rephrase that. You could use birch in your decor anytime of year.
I found sheets of birch that you can craft with at a craft supply store and I put 2 together to make a placemat. And then I layered on gold chargers and vintage ironstone dishes and coffee cups.
Look at all that texture!
I found these little chalkboard cupcake toppers at Target and thought they would make the perfect name cared when nestled in a sprig of rosemary. I added the rosemary for a pop of color in my all natural and gold color scheme.
I found this lovely wooden bowl and thought it was just the right size and height for a centerpiece. I filled it with straw and white pumpkins for the perfect rustic touch.
I added some gold glam to the natural centerpiece with this angel wing dish.
And a little more nature with a zinc lined birch bucket on the other side of the centerpiece.
This table needed a little touch of black to ground it, so I found a chalkboard paper table runner. My boys can’t wait to break out the chalk!
For a touch of sparkle that every table needs I added these gold mercury glass hurricane jars.
I put a battery operated led candle in each one. I must admit I love the battery operated candles, they make things a bit easier. You never have to worry about dripping wax or small children. And these are on a timer!
I had to add the leaf to our dining table so we would have room for Grandma and Grandpa who will be visiting for Thanksgiving. I added the gold bench for the kids to sit at. I found this bench at a vintage store and when I purchased it everyone thought I should repaint it. I’m so glad I kept it gold!
This creamy blanket, a gift from a family friend many year ago, will keep us warm on cool California evenings.
Here’s the view from our dining room into the rest of the house.
I think I can squeeze in two more on the gold bench for Thanksgiving. Who wants to come over for dinner? PS. I’m not serving turkey! Say What?! We’re having Dungeness Crab and Mac ‘n Cheese! More on that to come.

Thanks Chelsea! If I was having 32 people over for dinner, trust me there would be paper plates and plastic untensils! Gold ones but plastic and disposable none the less! Thanks for stopping by!
