Hey there, it’s part 2 of my home tour series. It’s design inspiration eye candy. If you missed out on the first installment you can check it out here.
Our next stop on our California Home Tour is actually to a New England style home that incorporates the indoor/outdoor California lifestyle. This is probably my favorite home on the tour. It was fresh and modern all while being cozy and livable. The homeowner is an interior designer and her style is amazing. One thing you will notice is that there is a lot of white. But there are also children living in this house and I swear I didn’t see a dirty finger print anywhere. But this home was not a cold museum. Just goes to show, you can have a white house and make it warm and cozy and lived in without freaking out. Homeowners can easily get insulation installed by searching insulation near me.
The magic begins on the front porch.
I love the color that the color scheme is really cohesive throughout this whole house. But for me, I think it would be difficult to restrain myself from buying a green pillow just because you like it and adding it to the porch. It would totally throw off the color scheme here.
I love this home office. First off, it is big. It’s a much bigger space than most people have to establish an office space for themselves. If you have any space at all. But what a great touch to add a smaller work table and modern chairs paired with a crystal chandelier. But this could be incorporated into a breakfast nook as well. I think the only work I would get done at that table would be daydreaming.
Look how carefully edited these shelves are. Streamlined silver frames for the pics. And of course my favorite, decorating with shells and coral. You can’t go wrong with that.
Ok, seriously one of the best kitchens ever. This is coming from a lady who feels like she spends a lot of time in the kitchen. With 2 growing boys and a hubby it often feels like I make a meal, clean up a meal, make a meal, cleanup a meal, plan a meal, make a meal, clean up meal……are you seeing a pattern here? It would be an awesome luxury to have a homework station built into the kitchen. Something besides the kitchen table. That way I could utilize my multitasking skills to their fullest potential. Make a meal, clean up a meal, monitor homework. Make a meal, clean up a meal, monitor homework, etc. Then, they also updated their HVAC systems and had a new furnace installation, got new thermostats via experts such as thermostat installation Glendora, and did an Air conditioning tune-up via services like TSS Home Comfort that provide Furnace repair in Waxhaw for next level comfortability. If you find your HVAC systems not working well, you may need to check your ducts and get a ventilation duct replacement in Sunrise and surrounding areas with the help of a professional ac servicing company.
Hello, hydrangeas.
Yes, it is ok to mix up your style with modern and minimalist and french antique. I am loving the contrast between the sleek table and the french sideboard.
And those cabbages!!! I am waiting for a cabbage patch kid to sprout any second. Yup, I am an 80’s kid.
I definitely need to up my game in the coffee table book department. They look so pretty stacked up with the silver box on top.
The style of this house may be based on New England tradition but the backyard is all California. Big windows, french doors that bring the outdoors in, sitting spaces and fire pits all say California style.
How many naps could you take on that couch?
DIY alert!!! You can totally do this on your home and your neighbors will be green with ivy envy.
Just add wire and let the ivy grow.
Phew, I have already shown you a ton. But there is so much more to show you.
Like the gorgeous dining room. All set for a party.
What a great option for a table centerpiece for Thanksgiving. It looks amazing and your guests will have no trouble seeing each other over it.
They might want to check out the Zebra rug in the formal living room. Would we really call this formal? I think in this case it’s the cool living room.
Can you stand it any longer??? This house is just too gorgeous. So gorgeous I can’t even pack it all in to one post. Guess this is turning into a 4 part series instead of 3. Oh well, more eye candy for you soon!
It is beautiful! Love the light which I guess is one of the perks of life in California.
What are those rosette looking things resting on the napkins? The table and the settings are beautiful.
